Welcome to Family Story Club ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, inviting storytellers, or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Our Service

Family Story Club is a subscription-based platform that lets you invite family and friends to record themselves reading stories. These recordings can be shared with your children for playback. Sound effects may be layered into recordings to enhance the storytelling experience.

2. Subscriptions & Billing

• The service is offered at £3.99/month.
• Billing is processed via Stripe. Your card will be charged monthly until you cancel.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
• Refunds are handled at our discretion. If you experience an issue, please contact Base44 support.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, meaning you keep access to all features and recorded stories until that date.

⚠️ Once your subscription ends, you will permanently lose access to all of your recorded stories, AI-generated stories, and invite links. This action cannot be undone.

Please note: to protect your family's privacy and data security, all of your recorded stories, AI-generated stories, story requests, and invite links are automatically and permanently deleted when your subscription ends. This ensures your personal data is never retained longer than necessary. This action cannot be undone.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and to subscribe.

4. Invited Storytellers

You may generate invite links to share with family and friends. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to invite the recipients. Storytellers record voluntarily and agree that their recording will be stored and made available to you and your child.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to store or share unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate content.
• Upload stories or recordings you do not have the rights to.
• Attempt to access another user's recordings without their permission.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.

6. Content & Recordings

You retain ownership of the recordings created through Family Story Club. By recording, storytellers grant Family Story Club a limited licence to store and stream the recording for playback within your family. We do not claim ownership of your content.

7. Story Content

Classic stories are provided from public-domain sources. AI-generated stories are produced by our tools and should be reviewed by a parent before sharing with children. Family Story Club is not liable for the content of AI-generated stories.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

Family Story Club is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, recordings, or indirect damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Family Story Club after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
